Graduate fashion designer Ann-Kathrin Carstensen founded her label RITA IN PALMA in 2012 with a special mission: to bring women from all over the world together to create beautiful accessories. Working closely with talented women from Turkey, Syria, Pakistan, Lebanon and Kosovo, she creates unique pieces that turn every look into something special. <\/p>\n\n

RITA IN PALMA pursues a holistic approach that combines fashion with social commitment. The label works closely with migrant women and offers them the opportunity to develop their talents and work in a paid job. In this way, RITA IN PALMA makes an important contribution to integration and helps women to escape long-term unemployment. <\/p>\n\n

The special commitment of RITA IN PALMA led to the founding of the non-profit association Meisterhand e.V. The association is dedicated to empowering Muslim women and offers them support in integrating into the German labor market.<\/p>\n\n

By providing German language courses, vocational training and promoting entrepreneurial activities, Meisterhand e.V. helps women to realize their full potential. Incidentally, without the slightest state subsidy – salaries, rent and office costs have to be generated solely through the sale of accessories. <\/p>\n\n
