A great success against child pornography

Hamburg, 12. Mai 2014. Die Initiative „Egg for Innocence“ von Satellite Office ging heute mit der Scheckübergabe in Höhe von 1.935 € zu Ende. Unter dem Motto Gesicht zeigen – gemeinsam gegen Kinderpornografie und den Erwerb kinderpornografischen Materials im Internet hatte der Betreiber von Business Centern vor Ostern zu dieser einmaligen Aktion zugunsten von Dunkelziffer e.V. in Hamburg aufgerufen. Anita Gödiker, Geschäftsführerin Satellite Office überreichte heute im Satellite Office Center in Hamburg am Neuen Wall 10 den Spendenerlös an Vera Falck, Geschäftsführerin von Dunkelziffer e.V.

Social commitment is a matter of course for Anita Gödiker. In addition to various projects, she has been campaigning against child pornography in a strong, determined and loud manner since 2003. With her commitment, she raises this issue wherever she can reach people in order to further contribute to the removal of taboos. Motivated by the so-called “Causa Edathy”, she initiated the “Egg for Innocence” campaign in the run-up to the Easter holidays. In all Satellite Office Business Centers in Hamburg, Berlin and Munich, colorful Easter eggs were sold under the motto “Join in instead of messing around” and each buyer received a raffle ticket for one euro per egg. This guaranteed the buyer the good feeling of having done something good. As a special incentive, Satellite Office also gave away 260 Membership KeyCards to the many supporters of the campaign, giving them free entry to the Berlin-based operator’s business centers. The beneficiaries of the donations are Dunkelziffer e.V. and Innocence in Danger e.V. A total of €3,870 in donations has been collected since March 5 of this year. Vera Falck accepted the cheque for her organization today.

“Doing good and giving good: Anita Gödiker, managing director and shareholder of Satellite Office GmbH, achieved both in a wonderful Easter fundraising campaign in the fight against child pornography. Raising money for children who have been exploited for child pornography and selling Easter eggs in conjunction with a raffle ticket was a wonderful combination with a wonderful result,” praised Vera Falck at the ceremony and continued: “We are delighted with the fantastic proceeds of €1,935. We will use the money for our training seminars, which we have been organizing for 18 years for criminal investigators, judges and public prosecutors in the fight against child pornography. Over 1750 officers have already taken part. With this unique nationwide offer, Dunkelziffer has established an interdisciplinary forum with a fast flow of communication. Every donation helps to ensure that we can continue to offer this project in the future. We would like to thank Ms. Gödiker very much for her help!”

The association Dunkelziffer e.V. Hamburg has been fighting against sexual abuse of children and child pornography since 1993 and supports projects such as counseling and immediate help, first aid for victims and persons of trust, therapy: for child victims in the Hamburg area, victim advocates for legal assistance even before a complaint is made, prevention topics. Numerous representatives of the regional press also attended the handover of the donation proceeds in the bistro lounge of the Satellite Office Business & Conference Center in Hamburg. Also present were the office customers who contributed to the proceeds as “egg buyers” and supporters of the campaign. Anita Gödiker and Vera Falck were particularly moved by the great support and thanked the Satellite Office customers, but also the partners such as Strähle Trennsysteme, which significantly increased the sum with a large donation. “This was certainly not my last initiative,” said Anita Gödiker, saying goodbye to the guests with a determined look on her face.
