“Egg for Innocence” campaign a great success against child pornography

Satellite Office’s “Egg for Innocence” initiative came to an end today with the presentation of a cheque for €1,910 to Innocence in Danger e.V. in Berlin. Under the motto “Show your face – together against child pornography and the acquisition of child pornographic material on the Internet”, Satellite Office, operator of business centers in the high-end segment, had called for this campaign before Easter. Anita Gödiker, Managing Director of Satellite Office, presented the proceeds to Julia von Weiler, member of the board of Innocence in Danger e.V., at the Satellite Office Center at Kurfürstendamm 194 in Berlin today.

Social commitment is not a question for Anita Gödiker. In addition to a wide variety of projects, she has been committed to fighting child pornography since 2003 in a determined, intensified and loud manner. With her commitment, she raises this burning issue wherever she can reach people in order to further contribute to the removal of taboos. Motivated by the so-called “Causa Edathy”, she initiated the Satellite Office campaign “Egg for Innocence” in the run-up to the Easter holidays. Colorful Easter eggs were sold in all Satellite Office Business Centers in Hamburg, Berlin and Munich under the slogan “Join in instead of fiddling around”. Every buyer received an egg and a raffle ticket for one euro. This guaranteed a good feeling of having done something good. As a special incentive, Satellite Office also gave away 260 Membership KeyCards in the raffle tickets to the many supporters of the campaign, who were able to win free entry to the Berlin operator’s business centers. The beneficiaries of the donations are in equal parts Innocence in Danger e.V. and Dunkelziffer e.V. Since March 5 of this year, a total of €3,820 in donations has been collected. Mrs. Julia von Weiler, board member of Innocence in Danger e.V., accepted the cheque for €1,910 on behalf of her organization today.

The association Innocence in Danger e.V. aims to create a network between youth welfare organizations that work against sexual abuse and pornographic exploitation of children on the internet and sponsors from the business world. The aim is to develop and maintain projects such as lectures and training courses, the development of training materials, music CDs with encouraging songs for kids, a prevention app and much more. Numerous representatives of the regional press gathered in the bistro lounge of the Satellite Office Business & Conference Center in Berlin for the handover of the donation proceeds. Also present were the office customers who contributed to the proceeds as “egg buyers” and supporters of the campaign. Anita Gödiker and Julie von Weiler were particularly moved by the great support and thanked Satellite Office customers as well as partners such as Strähle Trennsysteme, which significantly increased the sum with a large donation. “This was certainly not my last initiative,” said Anita Gödiker, saying goodbye to the guests with a determined look on her face.
